Wheel Throwing

Overview:

-Single 2hr Sessions-

Discover answers to your pottery inquiries. Witness a detailed demonstration of wheel throwing. Experiment with wheel throwing to determine if it's the right fit for you before enrolling in a course! Experience the fundamentals of wheel throwing guided by our tutor.

Learn how to:

  • Prepare the clay.
  • Select the appropriate clay body.
  • Identify the necessary tools.
  • Center the clay on the wheel.
  • Craft the fundamental pot design.
  • Ready the pot for drying.

This includes clay, tools, and necessary equipment. Take home a pot at a later date after processing.

Ages 13 and over, ages under 16 must be accompanied by a participating adult.

Wheel throwing or Handbuilding

- For Groups of (4 - 22)

-Single 2hr Sessions-

Birthday Parties & Groups of Friends

Witness a detailed demonstration of wheel throwing. Try your hand at wheel throwing, or opt for hand-building techniques like coiling, slab construction, or pinch pot creation. Construct a tea-light house or craft a press mold plate.

Learn how to:

  • Prepare the clay.
  • Select the appropriate clay body.
  • Utilize the necessary tools.
  • Center the clay on the wheel.
  • Create the fundamental pot design.
  • Ready the pot for drying.

This includes clay, tools, and necessary equipment. Take home up to two pots at a later date after processing.

Ages 13 and over, ages under 16 must be accompanied by a participating adult.

Your purchased sessions are activated after your 1st visit. Then maybe used within the next 90 days!

Self-guided practice and studio time are available for both the accomplished potter and the beginner, you choose what advice option you require. 

  • Suitable for beginners or advanced potters.
  • Choose between a 2 or 4-hour session.
  • Face-to-face beginner tutor lessons can be provided.
  • Includes the use of studio space and equipment, not tools, material or firing.
  • Materials are available for sale from our shop, although we only welcome external purchases once our technician has confirmed their suitability.
